Position:
NPD Engineer

Summary:
This role is responsible for the validation and qualification for the production process transfer including qualification, planning and execution, and production ramp-up. The NPD Engineer will support manufacturing process activities and continuous improvement to the production operations.

This Role requires constant traveling outside the country to Headquarters for the management of the different new projects of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers in estimating project timelines and optimizing development plans.
  • Manage and conduct line validation / qualification activities including IQ, OQ and PQ.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams, training and guiding technicians in validation activities.
  • improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, time study, space requirements, observations from operators and equipment layout.
  • Ensure equipment is operational coordinate maintenance and repair services, follow manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures, and request special service
  • Responsible for writing and reporting of Protocols, Reports, SOP’s, and Work Instructions, as required, and conducts or coordinates testing and execution of identified activities.
  • Development and implementation of all process and equipment documentation
  • Generate test reports to capture all development work and associated testing
  • Participates in project level planning with the leadership team
  • Conduct Independent work planning
  • Production line support as needed
  • Troubleshooting of any process related issues
  • Adhere to all company and quality procedures and policies
  • Support ongoing optimization and improvement in equipment/systems/processes for long-term robustness and reliability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineer, Processes and Quality, Mechanic, or related career)
  • Proven experience as Process, NPD, NPI Engineer as a responsible of validations activities
  • Excellent computer and data analysis skills (control charts, capability analysis, etc.).
  • Injection molding process experience is a plus.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Proven ability to root cause analysis.
  • A strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Advanced English Language
  • Availability to be continuously traveling outside the country to the Headquarters, suppliers and others, as needed
